Summary: The Western drama miniseries Texas Rising is set in the throes of the Texas Revolution, and recounts important events in the early history of the Texas Rangers. This dramatic account of real-life events follows General Sam Houston (Bill Paxton) and his troops, as they battle the Mexican army, led by Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna (Olivier Martinez). After being defeated at the Alamo, the Texas troops are surrounded, but attempt to mount a comeback, leading to a dramatic conclusion at the Battle of San Jacinto.
