An album intentionally dressed in virginal white, The Marvelous Missing Link (Found) is the often positive, sometimes preachy sequel to The Marvelous Missing Link (Lost), a lesser Insane Clown Posse album from earlier in the year. Compared to that dour effort, this inspired slab of outlandishness crackles with life, and that's the juggalo version of life, as "I Fucked a Cop" ("As we drove to jail, I got molested") is one of the album's most effervescent highlights. Slammin' on the bassline, "Cop" comes packaged in a dark carnival version of G-Funk, and while the fresh and free music drives many of the album's best songs ("Dreams of Grandeur" shocks as a Taylor Swift-style country number, "Mr. White Suit" sounds like they're shooting for Arcade Fire in their Reflektor-era, and "Get Clowned" resurrects the funky calliope music of the ICP's early years), the LP's other main inspiration may very well be Jesus, or someone quite like him. "Found" barks "This career? I believe God let me have it!" as the swell of melody and a giant, singalong chorus suggest this one could be filed over in the "Worship" category, although these evil clowns are just borrowing the CCM style, and scatter non-denominational viewpoints and mythical characters about the album. Add the supreme party number "Pineapple Pizza" ("She had cinnamon flavored lipstick/When she blew me, it burned my dipstick") to the mix, and Found beats Lost by a hatchet-run mile, as the sometimes not so wild world of ICP sounds suitably wild once more. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
