Synopsis: In Mind Zero, players take on the role of Kei, a high school student with the ability to contact MINDs, mysterious beings that convince people to commit violent acts. Unfortunately for Kei, his special ability leads to him being pursued by the government, so he enlists the help of his friends to learn the secrets of MINDs. In the 2D Outer Realm, gamers speak to other characters, perform investigations, and head into towns to purchase items and take on cases, while the MIND-dominated Inner Realm sees players engaging in turn-based 3D battles to resolve cases.


Combat begins automatically whenever gamers encounter enemies in the Inner Realm dungeons. Each member of the party performs one action per turn, choosing to attack, take a defensive stance, use an item, unleash a burst attack, flee if possible, or also summon their MIND to assist in battle. Players can use the skill points they accrue to upgrade and enhance skill cards, and then head back to the Outer Realm to take on new cases from the Ogata Detective Agency. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
