Synopsis: The massively successful life-development sim from Electronic Arts returns with more intelligent and interesting Sims, new creative tools, and more lively neighborhoods in The Sims 4. As always, players create virtual people and guide them through their activities and relationships, with no specific victory conditions. The Sims 4 offers a much broader range of personalities, aspirations, traits, skills, and appearances than ever before, and for the first time in the series, gamers can control their Sim's emotions, from sullen introverts to ebullient socializers.


The addition of emotion control affects the user interface and opens up a variety of new choices. Players can control the way their Sims interact with the environment and with one another, and each resulting emotion presents a variety of possibilities, such as calming an angry Sim with exercise, or cheering up a sad Sim with some light-hearted voodoo magic. These varied emotions come into play as gamers guide their Sims around lively and diverse neighborhoods nestled among the rolling hills and lush gardens of Willow Creek, or the stunning desert environments of Oasis Springs. Both cities offer a variety of parks, businesses, and activities where Sims can meet, make friends, and find romance.


The Sims 4 also offers new ways for players to create Sims, design and decorate their homes, and share their creations with friends. The new Create-A-Sim feature does away with most menus and sliders and lets gamers customize every inch of their Sim's face and body by using their mouse cursor to click and drag. Virtual architects can now create homes using a room-based building model, allowing them to freely modify pre-designed rooms, add on to their foundation, and pick up and move entire rooms without losing any of the decorations inside. Proud creators can then upload their Sims, rooms, and lots to the Gallery for other users to import and enjoy.
